I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore
Release date: August 3rd 2010 by HarperCollins
Synopsis:

Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in. we have lived among you without you knowing.

But they know.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.
Number Two in England.
And Number Three in Kenya.
They killed them all.

I am Number Four.

I am next.

I Am Number Four has not even been published yet and the movie production is already underway. My curiosity about this novel sparked when it was taunted to be The Next Twilight. Of course nothing will be the next Twilight, that would be ridiculous. Every book will shine in it’s own way. Moving on, I went to do a little research about the characters in the movie and guess what? Alex Pettyfer will be playing the lead! Awesome. And Jake Abel from Percy Jackson and Dianna Agron from Glee will be in the film as well!

I am very excited for the release of this novel and I hope it will live up to all the hype about it! 🙂 It will be in stores less than 3 weeks away. Bored? Check out www.iamnumberfourfans.com.

  1. This was a good book, 3 stars. I can’t wait to see what they do with the movie, yet I don’t think there is enough in the book to make a really exciting, entertaining movie.

  2. This book is on my wish list too. I saw they are making a movie out of too…exciting 🙂 I have to read the book first thought, I always do book first, movie second 🙂

  3. Oh wow… This one looks great. I (honestly) haven’t heard anything about it but am definitely adding it to my list!
